Stephen Peter’s dream and inspiration was to become a professional basketball player. He worked extremely hard to make this dream become a reality, but after excelling in the sport throughout high school and college, he was not drafted by any team in the N.B.A. He now spends his time, talent and money in another type of arena – the inner-city public schools throughout the United States. Peters spends his time convincing today’s youth that they should dream bigger than he did. He challenges them to own the sports team rather than wait for teams to draft them. He also encourages those in the rap game to dream about owning the music company instead of relying on others to discover them and their talent one day. His belief in young people is unwavering and very apparent in his book and presentations.

Inspired by those around him, Stephen has lead schools from the bottom with tragically low-test scores, high suspension rates and discipline problems into becoming both State and National Blue Ribbon Schools.
