A Message From Stephen G. Peters
Many years ago, researchers stressed the need for educators and school districts to understand that the change process takes on average three to five years to take shape. After speaking to 100,000 educators and visiting numerous schools in 2007, I am convinced beyond a shadow of doubt that the time for change is NOW!
The time is NOW for creating schools filled with PASSION and PURPOSE, schools that children look forward to getting up in the morning and attending. I have seen some of these schools - They DO exist.
These schools exist because the adults working there have the belief that "Nobody Rises to Low Expectations." They also believe if positive change is to occur in our schools, a great beginning...

Sitting pool side after delivering a speech to SC administrators, two young men approached me and asked if I was the founder of the Gentlemen’s Club. I responded, YES! They went on to tell me they were in the Gentlemen’s Club when they were in middle school and they remembered dressing up for school and learning how to tie a tie and table etiquette…

The Roosevelt Middle School Gentlemen’s Club earned a trip to Oklahoma State University, attended a professional basketball game (Utah jazz vs. Oklahoma City Thunder) while The Ladies Club spent two days in Kansas City, Ok. Gentlemen’s Club members worked at a recent (charity) fund-raising event for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. They worked from 4-7:00pm on Tuesday, March 17th assisting and providing curb service for all those that purchased Bar-B-Que dinners from Antley’s Restaurant, Orangeburg SC.
